Ed Haroff is the principal auctioneer and licensed real estate broker who works out of our office in Schroon Lake, NY. Member of National Auctioneers Association (NAA), New York State Auctioneers Association (NYSAA), National Association of Realtors (NAR), New York State Association of Realtors (NYSAR) and Warren County Board of Realtors (WCBR).

Jim Shortt has been with Haroff Auction & Realty, Inc. since 1997, as a real estate auction professional who assists in gathering parcel information, locating, photographing, placing signs and showing each of the properties. Jim additionally spot's bids and assists prospective bidders at the auction. Jim works out of his home in Indian Lake, NY and our office in Schroon Lake, NY. Member of NAA, NYSAA, NAR, NYSAR and WCBR.

 

Greg Stone has been with Haroff Auction & Realty, Inc. since 2002, as a real estate auction professional who assists in gathering parcel information, locating, photographing, placing signs and showing each of the properties. Greg additionally spot's bids and assists prospective bidders at the auction. Greg works out of our office in Schroon Lake, NY. Member of NAA, NYSAA, NAR, NYSAR and WCBR.

Travis Stone has been with Haroff Auction & Realty , Inc. since 1999, as a real estate auction professional, specializing in the design and organization of our web site, hosting the individual auction and property information. Additionally Travis assists in gathering parcel information, locating, photographing, placing signs and showing each of the properties. Travis works out of our office in Schroon Lake, NY. Member of NAA, NYSAA.

Linda Haroff has been with Haroff Auction & Realty, Inc. since 1988, handling the daily office work, such as creating files on each auction property, handling daily requests for brochures and informational packages. Linda supervises the auction day clerical staff, ensuring smooth and quick registration of bidders, accurate clerking of the auction and printing of purchase contracts and signing of contracts. Linda additionally follows up on the financial auditing of each auction. Linda works out of our office in Schroon Lake, NY.

Jennifer LaPerle joined Haroff Auction & Realty, Inc. in the spring of 2002. Since that time Jennifer has displayed her organizational abilities and has quickly picked up the necessary skills to assist in the organization of our auctions. Jennifer works out of our office in Schroon Lake, NY.

 

Haroff Auction & Realty, Inc. has been involved in the real estate auction business since 1990. Haroff Auction & Realty, Inc. was awarded its first municipal contract to auction tax foreclosed properties for Essex County in 1991. Since that first multi property real estate auction in 1991, Haroff Auction & Realty, Inc. has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in the foreclosure process along with the marketing and sale of tax foreclosed properties.

During the past two years we conducted multi-property real estate auctions for the Counties of Chemung, Clinton, Cortland, Dutchess, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Lewis, Montgomery and Sullivan. A total of 1,938 tax-foreclosed properties were sold during this two year period and returned to the tax rolls for these municipalities using the auction method of marketing.

Haroff Auction & Realty, Inc., has continually held the Essex County contract since 1991, and is presently contracted with Essex County through the year 2007.

Our friendly and professional approach towards the real estate business helped our company grow from selling 42 properties in 1991 to selling 1,636 properties in 2002 and 928 properties in 2003. Our computerized mailing list is growing on a daily basis with people calling in on our toll free 800 number and joining our e-mail list from all areas requesting to receive copies of our auction brochures.

Our peers in the auction industry have also recognized Haroff Auction & Realty, Inc. At the 1995 New York State Auctioneers Annual Convention, held in Saratoga Springs, NY, we received First Place awards for Multiple Page Real Estate Auction Catalog, One Color Real Estate Auction Brochure and Auction Business Stationary. At the 1997 New York State Auctioneers Annual Convention, held in Suffern, NY, we received a First Place award for Multiple Page Real Estate Auction Catalog. Additionally, at the 2003 New York State Auctioneers Annual Convention held in Utica, NY, we received First Place awards for Color Real Estate and Equipment Auction Brochures.

Edward T. Haroff has earned and been awarded the "Certified Auctioneers Institute" (CAI) designation from the National Auctioneers Association (NAA), a professional management level program sponsored by the Auction Marketing Institute. The course of study was taught by senior CAI graduates and faculty from the University of Indiana at Bloomington. Less than 850 professional auctioneers hold this prestigious designation nationwide. Additionally, Ed has earned and been awarded the "Accredited Auctioneer Real Estate" ( AARE) designation from the National Auctioneers Association (NAA).
